The construction materials manufacturer worked with Total IT Global to manage IT infrastructure needs across over 100 locations in the APAC region to procure hardware for EUC, Network, and Server Site Migration.
Challenges
The project was hampered by a lack of available personnel to handle the migration, particularly given the large number of users in Vietnam & Thailand, and the tight deadline.
Ensuring strict adherence to the customer’s governance and data safety protocols while managing a complex migration process, presented significant challenges.
Lack of a single line of management to coordinate onshore and offshore team requirements further complicated site migration, impeding the project’s efficiency and progress.
Dependency on third-party vendors for critical hardware requirements in less developed countries hindered project timelines.
Solution & Visible Results
We introduced “Train-the-Trainer” program to intensify training among the resources starting with an initial batch of engineers and covering the entire engineer base swiftly. By training additional personnel and ensuring adequate resources, the project was executed more efficiently.
Total IT Global assigned dedicated hardware to ensure governance with security policies and emphasized the data protection of the customer.
Successfully migrated users across regions simultaneously under a stringent timeline of 21 days.
The provision of resources with the required network and hardware under the Project Manager’s supervision successfully mitigated the dependency on third-party vendors. This ensured reliability and strict compliance with project requirements.
Results
Good preparation, training and project management helped Total IT Global successfully migrate all users across multiple regions in just 21 days, maintaining a secure and strict compliant environment. Impressed by our expertise, the client extended our scope to Data Centre Audit and Wireless Site Survey.
