Challenges

  • Global management of IT infrastructure needs such as procurement of hardware for EUC, Network and Server site migration needs, for 100+ locations, spread across 12 countries, including Australia, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Oman, Indonesia, Korea, New Zealand, Vietnam etc.
  • Training support for all sites and lack of single line of management to coordinate onshore and offshore requirements of site migration in countries like Japan, and adherence to governance and meeting of all data safety protocols of the customer.
  • Unavailability of resources to handle the migration activity for high number of user base in some of the locations, including Vietnam and Thailand, with a stringent timeline of 21 days.
  • Provisioning of network and hardware for all locations.
  • Dependency on third-party vendors for procurement of critical hardware requirements.

Solution & Visible Results

  • Strong planning ensured seamless execution in a centralised and controlled manner for 100+ locations, spread across 12 countries. A Technical Project Manager was especially aligned to facilitate onsite workshops for client and partners, in 60 locations in Japan, for project planning and execution.
  • Implemented ‘Train-the-Trainer’ program to intensify training among the resources, starting with an initial batch of 15 engineers and covering the entire engineer base swiftly. As a result, Total IT Global was considered for the extended scope for global Network Implementation project including, Data Centre Audit and Wireless Site Survey.
  • Assigned dedicated laptop to ensure governance with security policies and data protection of the customer.
  • Successfully migrated 500+ users simultaneously under a stringent timeline of 21 days.
  • Provisioned resources with the required network and hardware for all locations, under the supervision of Project Manager, while ensuring strict compliance to all governance and standards requirements.
