Manager – Account Payable & Cost Control

Location: India

Job Purpose

Accounts Payable Manager manages all activities in the accounts payable function. Ensures timely payments of vendor invoices and expense vouchers and maintains accurate records and control reports. Being an AccountsPayable Manager reviews applicable accounting reports and accounts payable register to ensure accuracy.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensuring proper onboarding of vendors with all necessary documentation in place
  • Ensuring proper quality checks on the Vendor Partner Invoices and creditor outstanding reports
  • Resolving Vendor Queries and 1st level escalations within TAT.
  • Proactively raising alert to Department head for possible escalations and issues related Vendors
  • Maintaining and Monitoring of AP & Cost control related Master Trackers for correctness of data with Actual.
  • Supporting the internal and external stakeholders with required reports around AP and Cost control
  • Properly verifying and Approving Payment Batches on a timely manner.
  • Regular engagement with Finance team around cash flow for partner payout planning.
  • Preparing and submitting week by week Vendor payout plans to finance team for all Direct expenses.
  • Verifying & sending Creditors Ageing Report to respective stakeholders.
  • Coordinating with internal stakeholders to ensure closure of dependent tasks within agreed TAT.
  • Verifying thoroughly all internal AP reporting prepared by the team.
  • Regularly evaluating Cost Savings opportunities from Vendor Partners.
  • To ensure Vendor Reconciliation is done on Monthly basis.
  • To ensure Balance Confirmation from Vendors are procured on a Quarterly Basis.
  • Regular engagement with top 20 Vendor partners.
  • Tracking of GP & its Variance analysis.
  • Managing the Team to ensure process adherence and optimum Efficiency & Productivity
  • Weekly Management Reporting using Dashboards and PPT.
  • Being involved in AP Automation initiatives.

Qualifications

  • B.Com (Mandatory), Preferable- M.Com/MBA

Experience Required

  • Global and Corporate Partner handling
  • Handling High end partners
  • Team Handling

Skills and Abilities

  • Must possess sound knowledge of basic accounting principles with an analytical bend of mind.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Excellent people skill to manage and develop team effectively towards achieving desired organisation results.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and in 24/7 environment and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
  • Should be a Self-Starter and Target Achiever
  • Should be ok to travel within and outside India.
  • Should be ok to work in shifts.
